Our Story

A Bridge to Liberty, A Path to Development

Bridge to Community Liberty and Development (BCLD) is a youth and women led organization working towards advocating and lobbying against atrocities that prevent girls and young women from living at liberty. Having its genesis in 2019, the organization is headquartered in Salima with projects focusing on advancing sexual and reproductive health rights for women and girls including those with disabilities, gender justice, and environment and climate justice.

We believe that when young women and girls are empowered with the right tools, knowledge, support, and opportunities, they become powerful catalysts for change, transforming not just their own lives, but entire communities.
