Learning and Connecting in Johannesburg
It has been an incredibly exciting week of growth and international networking for BCLD. Our team traveled to Johannesburg, South Africa, to attend the 2025 Annual Partners Convening for the Hlanganisa Community Fund. This global gathering provided a powerful opportunity to learn, share, and connect with a diverse cohort of organizations driving change in women's rights, climate justice, and social and gender equity. The interactive sessions deepened our team's practical skills in resource mobilization, strategic leadership, human justice, and institutional visibility.
Celebrating a Major Leadership Milestone
We are thrilled to share that during this convening, BCLD was officially presented with the 2025 Women-Led Leadership Award.
This award directly attests to our organizational structure, which purposefully places women in top leadership positions to steer the organization toward its core developmental goals.
This milestone celebrates how we have positioned our organization and honors our unwavering belief in the power of women's leadership. We thank our partners, including AmplifyChange, Mama Cash, Purposeful, and Girls Not Brides, for their continued solidarity.
